Ultimately, it was the people that attracted me the most to the AFP program. Everyone at AFP, including administrators, senior residents, staff, and faculty, create a supportive and friendly environment in which to learn and develop my skills as a future family physician. It’s clear the faculty are extremely passionate about rural family medicine. My experience during the interview process reaffirmed my belief that this program was a great fit for me.
Creative writing, reading (historical fiction is my favorite genre), dance and choreography, musical theatre, cooking and trying new recipes, hiking, watching baseball (my favorite team is the Detroit Tigers), and playing board games
