Clinical Areas
The office is specifically designed for family practice. The
physician in training has available two to three spacious patient exam rooms as
well as private dictation and charting areas.
Nursing workstation - The AFP team of nurses and medical assistants
efficiently care for patients and help residents and faculty provide continuous
quality care to all our patients and their families.

Laboratory - Dottie Holtzman, MT, teaches residents how to perform basic
laboratory tests and makes sure they have the twenty hours laboratory training
required by CLIA to be director of his or her own laboratory after graduation. |

The AFP office library is updated throughout the year and has multiple text
and CD-ROMs and patient education materials to assist our residents and faculty
in acquiring the medical information they need. |

Preceptors help with resident
questions and ensure high quality care. |

Minor surgeries, video flexible
sigmoidoscopy, cryosurgery, endometrial biopsy, and colposcopy can
all be performed in a well-equipped procedure room.
Electrocardiography, audiography, spirometry, and tympanometry are
also available.
