Spouses/Significant Others

We encourage spouses/significant others to attend and participate in the interview day with our applicant. It is your three years also and we want them to be great ones. We are happy to answer any questions about our area and interests spouses or significant others may have. Yes, we do have a falconry club. This probably was the toughest question so far, but we found one.

Special requests

If applicants or spouses/significant others have specific areas of interest and would let us know in advance, we will have prepared something for you when you arrive.

Job hunt: We wish we could guarantee employment, but we will recommend possibilities.

Housing: Realtors and attendings who own rental properties can hardly wait for you to show up. We have multilists and pictures available for you to browse. Housing and rental availability and pricing are very good.

Moving: We offer a moving allowance to help with your transition.

Schools/day care: We have many day care centers near the Altoona Hospital including Cuddle Corner. We can arrange tours of the schools, including the many private schools.

Whatever!: Anything else you have questions about; we will try to help you find what you need.
