Rodney Sponsler, MD
Pediatrics Preceptor

Dr. Rodney L. Sponsler received his B.S. degree from Juniata
College in 1958 and his M.D. degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in
1962. Dr. Sponsler served a rotation internship at Altoona Hospital from
1962 through 1963 and a Pediatric residency at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh
from 1963 through 1965.
Dr. Sponsler practiced general Pediatrics
in Altoona for 31 years before joining the Faculty in 1996.
Dr. Sponsler is board certified in
Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Sponsler served a Medical adviser for
the local March of Dimes for 15 years and served on the Board of the Blair
County Children's Center for Special Learning for the past 12 years. His
special area of interest is in pediatric infectious diseases.
