Ophthalmology

Overview

During this Third year rotation, residents, in addition to 4 half days seeing their continuity patients at Altoona Family Physicians, will spend time with local, Board Certified specialists in Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology. There you will become increasingly familiar and comfortable in the care and management of common diseases of the eye and upper respiratory tract. You will gain experience in the use of various instruments including the slit lamp as well as various procedures including foreign body removal.
