Matthew T. Ebling, MDClass of 2006/7 Biography
I was born in Ephrata, PA, located between Reading and Lancaster and spent my childhood there, before attending college at Bloomsburg University in north-central PA, where I majored in Biology. I worked full-time doing research for several years, and received a Master’s in Microbiology at Thomas Jefferson University. At that time, I was blessed to meet my lovely wife, Jennifer, who was from Taiwan and came to USA for her master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. I loved her at first sight from across a crowded room at a Christian meeting. We got married in 1998, at which I worked as a Scientific Manager at Biomedical Research during the year of applying medical school. Afterwards, I attended medical school at Jefferson Medical College and admitted to the Physician Shortage Area Program. I have been interested in family medicine since before attending medical school. I enjoyed serving as a Student Delegate for the PAFP, and as a FMIG Regional Coordinator for the AAFP. In hopes of serving in the shortage area in the future, I am delighted now to be at Altoona Family Physicians Residency, a program of outstanding caliber and commitment to its residents. I am grateful for all the Lord has done for me and look forward to working with great faculty and residents. EducationUndergraduate
