From Pittsburgh: take route 22 East to
Altoona exit and I-99 (220) North to Altoona.
From the North
From Jersey Shore, Williamsport, Lock Haven and Hazelton area: take
Interstate 80 to Milesburg (exit 23). Follow I-99 (220) South to Altoona.
From State College: take route 322 West to route 220 South at Port
Matilda. Follow 220 to I-99 (220) South and then to Altoona.
From the East
From Philadelphia or Harrisburg: take the PA Turnpike to Bedford (exit
11). Take I-99 (220) North to Altoona.
From the South
From Johnstown and Meyersdale area: take route 219 North to route 22
East at Ebensburg. Continue on route 22 East to Altoona and exit
I-99 (220) North. Follow I-99 (220) to Altoona.

From the north:
From I-99 take the Plank Road exit in Altoona. Turn left
on Plank Road and go under the
highway. Continue for approximately a half a mile. Turn left
on Convention Center Blvd. You will see the Courtyard by Marriott
adjacent to the Blair County Convention Center on your left.
From the south:
From I-99 take the Plank Road exit in Altoona. Turn right on
Plank Road. Continue for approximately a half a mile. Turn left
on Convention Center Blvd. You will see the Courtyard by Marriott
adjacent to the Blair County Convention Center on your left.
To AFP / Altoona Hospital
From the Marriott
Go to the bottom of the hill and make a right onto Convention
Center Blvd. At the next stoplight make a right onto Plank Road.
(You will see Wal-Mart off to the right.) You are going to get back on I-99
marked "Tyrone". Stay on I-99 to the 17th Street Exit. Continue
on 17th Street until you arrive at a dead end with a signal light. There you
must turn right onto 12th Avenue (which is a 2-lane one way
street); Once you are on 12th Avenue, get into the left lane. Follow it
through some curves until at 12th Street it becomes Chestnut Avenue; Go
to the next light and turn left onto 4th Street;
immediately turn left again to enter the Blair Medical Center
complex. Building F will be on your immediate left. Go around the
building to the Chestnut Avenue side. Altoona Family Physicians occupies the
ground floor of Building F.
From I-99 (220)
Exit I-99 at 17th Street. Continue until you arrive
at a dead end with a signal light. There you must turn right onto 12th
Avenue (which is a 2-lane one way street); Once you are on 12th Avenue, get
into the left lane. Follow it through some curves until at 12th Street it
becomes Chestnut Avenue; Go to the next light and turn left
onto 4th Street; immediately turn left again to enter the Blair
Medical Center complex. Building F will be on your immediate left. Go
around the building to the Chestnut Avenue side. Altoona Family Physicians
occupies the ground floor of Building F.

there. We often send students on Family Medicine rotations to Williamsburg
