I was born in Gwalior,
India. My interest in Medical Science developed during the middle of my
school education & so I took Biology as my major subject for High
school education.
I competed for the Pre-medical entrance
test & started my medical school at Gajra Raja Medical College,
Gwalior. During this period I also learned Yoga at our spiritual center
that helped me in my hospital training. I competed for the Pre-Residency
test & got a position in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Kamala Raja
Hospital, Gwalior.
After finishing
residency, I got married & came to the U.S. as my husband was a U.S.
citizen. Here I started observing patients with my father-in-law Dr. B.B.
Singh, MD Cardiologist in Indiana, Pa & prepared for the USMLE. During
this period I also had a baby boy, named 'Tejas'.
With my background of OB-GYN & my
interest in medicine & alternative medicine, I decided to be a family
physician & feel fortunate to join Altoona Family Physicians Program.
After
