Biography
A central Pennsylvania native, it was always my goal to
give back to the area where I was raised. I attended Juniata College in
Huntingdon Pennsylvania, where I graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Molecular
Biology. It was my intent to use this degree in the forensics field but after
internships with both the PA State Police and FBI; I found myself looking for a
career to not only help people but relate to them as well.
Off to the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine
where I discovered the field of family practice. I was lured by a desire to see
all patients, newborn to elderly, routine to critically ill. After graduating,
I was able to move back to central Pennsylvania to complete my residency
training. At Altoona Family Practice Residency Program not only was I molded
into a family doctor, but met some of my best friends. Upon completion of the
program, I decided to stay and work as an attending physician with Altoona
Family Practice Residency Program. It is here that I get to be the tradition
family doctor delivering babies, taking care of ICU patients, and caring for my
own private patients in the office setting.
On a personal note, I married my wonderful husband during
my internship year at Altoona. He is a 2nd grade teacher at a local
school district. We are expecting our first baby this spring, a boy! Being
the animal lover I am, I must also mention our pets-Zoe our cat and Tucker our
Boston Terrier.
