Kuchumol Thomas, MD Class of 2008
Hello, I am Kochumol Thomas. I am hailing from Kerala, which lies on the southern most part of India. My love for Science coupled with my interest to spend my life promoting the wellness of others made me to choose medicine as my career. Having graduated from Medical College Kottayam, I served in different mission hospitals in South India .After the completion of MD in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Madurai Medical College, I worked as a Gynecologist for three years in a mission hospital in Kerala. I moved to the USA with my two daughters in the year 2002 to join my husband who works in Stamford, CT. I wanted to become a good primary care physician, and because of my OB/GYN background, I chose Family Medicine. There are so many reasons for why I chose Altoona, like nice and friendly people, good chances to learn rural medicine, pleasant area to bring up my children, good school system and more close to my brother who lives in Detroit, MI I like to spend my free time with my daughters Minnu and Annu. |
