Biography

Hi, I am John-Mark Miller. That's right, I have two first names but I have no middle name. I was born in Reading, PA raised for six years in Blackstone, MA and then moved back to Reading. There I lived quietly for many years as the son of a pastor.

Upon graduation from Wilson High School I attended college at Bloomsburg University, where I received my B. S. in Biology. During my stay at Bloomsburg I became involved in PHI SIGMA PI National Honor Fraternity. Due to my involvement in this fraternity I had the privilege of meeting my wife at the national convention in Cincinnati, OH. Unfortunately, she attended school at the University of Georgia. However, as fate would have it she moved to Virginia in 1997 to attend MCV and we started dating.  During that year we both traveled 4 hours each way 1 to 2 times per week to see each other. Following a year of travel we both moved to Philadelphia were I attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. In between classes and rotations during the last 4 years my wife and I have tried to become involved in the community. We both volunteer through our church with the youth group and local homeless shelter. We try to see Pennsylvania's beautiful state parks as much as possible during the summer time and occasionally in the winter.  Currently, we are expecting the birth of our first child in May and can hardly wait. We are also looking forward to our move to Altoona and establishing a new home and community of friends.
