Hi my name is Jimi Oluwole from Lawrenceville GA. Medicine has always been a passion for me but I switched plans after college and decided to go into business. Even though I was content with what I was doing, I wasn't challenged or fulfilled enough so I decided to go back to my first love. Lol. I choose Altoona Family Physicians because I wanted a program that was unopposed allowing a broad clinical experience with a solid teaching foundation by both faculty and senior residents. This program exceeded my expectation, no wonder it has a consistent 100% board pass rate, highest possible accreditation from both allopathic and osteopathic residency bodies, and excellent in-training exams score. The procedural workshop, scheduled daily noon didactics, and certification workshops are excellent, I enjoy coming with the unlimited free food we get from the cafeteria. You're treated like a physician from the first day. The privilege of using the latest technology like e-clinical works, golden invison, and alpha systems for patient care and workflow process, makes life a lot easier. I enjoy the access to patient care from the comfort of my home to anywhere in the US I choose to be at. As I decided, it was very important to me to be in an environment where most of the people where passionate, down to earth and well rounded in their lifestyles. From faculty to office staff, there is a consistent friendliness that makes you want to smile all the time. We also enjoy group initiated activities, fun times and there's always an open door policy. As far as what I like to do, I enjoy the simpler things in life such as spending time with family and friends, church, hanging outdoors, soft music, and exploring great attractions. Altoona is a very affordable city with great attractions, events and culture. Everyone is a Steelers fan, so my love for the falcons went out the door once I came here.
