"I'm never bored working
for Altoona Family Physicians
and I'm still having fun."
Biography
I was born in the small town of
Hollidaysburg, PA, the home of slinky toys. I attended the Penn State
University and did my graduate work at Marywood University. I met my wife at a
wedding reception and we dated every week after the reception until we decided
to get married. That was thirty-eight years ago and it is still one of the best
decisions I have ever made. My wife, Barbara, is an RN and a MIS Coordinator.
We have two children. Erik graduated from Penn State in December 2003 with
a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and after
managing a restaurant for a year and a half returned to school to become a chef
in August 2006 and a pastry
chef in August 2007. He was chosen to be a commencement speaker for his August
2006 graduation. He is working in the local area. He has
worked in the summers for the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation learning about such things as traffic safety, bridge construction
and paving. He plans to focus on structural
engineering and is working in Kentucky. Jordan graduated in December 2006
from Penn State as a civil engineer. I am very proud of both my sons and their accomplishments. I
worked for two years at the Altoona Hospital in maternity, pediatrics and
dialysis before joining the residency program. I spend
some of my evenings and Saturday's doing home studies and post placement visits for special needs,
domestic and international adoptions.
