Class of 2011

Hi,

I am Anubha. I was born and brought up in Delhi, India. I did my medical schooling from Terna Medical College, Mumbai. My inspiration to become a doctor came from my elder sister who is a doctor herself and I have seen her working and treating patients and taking care of the sick.

After working in India, I went to England to gain some clinical experience. I always wanted to work in the USA because I like the multidisciplinary approach to patient care. I felt that I would get of lot of opportunities here.

When I came to Altoona to interview, I had a very good experience. I found everyone to be very warm and welcoming. From the very first instance, I felt I wanted to do my residency here. The staff, nurses, and attendings were all very good. Getting into a family medicine residency program gives me the opportunity to serve the community.

Well, my hobbies are music, dancing, and reading. I also like adventurous stuff like white water rafting, paragliding, etc.

I am really looking forward to doing my residency at Altoona Hospital which will be an enriching learning experience for me and would help me alleviate the pain and suffering of my patients and see a smile on their faces.
