Bruce Akuna, DO

Class of 2007

Shortly after graduating from High School I moved to Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. I worked in a wide variety of jobs from commercial and charter fishing to tour guide for seniors from Seattle. Apparently not tired of the sea or traveling in large groups, I joined the Navy and served as an Electronics Technician in the Nuclear Power Field. My wife, who has always been a major influence in my life, is a nurse and I have always desired working in the medical field with her. I attended the University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri with the support of my wife and children.
